Eagles News · Apple Valley’s Tre Jones Honored As McDonald’s All-American Tomorrow

Please join Apple Valley High School in congratulating Tre Jones for being named a McDonald’s High School All-American. Jones, a 6-foot-3 senior for Apple Valley High School in Apple Valley, Minnesota, was named to the 2018 McDonald’s All American Game, one of the top all-star events in the country each year.

Tre Jones and his teammates won the MSHSL Class 3AAAA State Championship in 2017 over Champlain Park High School. The McDonald’s All American Games are March 28 at Philips Arena in Atlanta.

Jones is rated as the top point guard in the class of 2018. Jones is averaging 23.3 points, 9.5 rebounds, 6.0 assists and has also amassed 82 steals on the season for Apple Valley High School. Jones earned Minnesota Gatorade Player of the Year Honors in 2017. He was also selected as Metro Player of the Year in 2016 and 2017. Jones ranks 2nd in Apple Valley history: Points (2,068),  Rebounds (898) and Assists (763). As a sophomore, Jones won a Gold medal playing with USA basketball on the U16 team.

KemperLesnik Marketing of Illinois will present Jones, with his McDonald’s All American Games jersey as part of the McDonald’s All American Hometown Heroes presented by American Family Insurance, which honors all 24 boys and 24 girls selected for this prestigious event. The presentation ceremony honoring Jones is scheduled for Tuesday, February, 27 at Apple Valley High School (MN). The event will take place at 2:45 p.m. in the Apple Valley High School Theatre.
