On Thursday, August 24, 2016 – Coach Keith Randa will coach his 500th game as Head Coach of the Apple Valley High School Girls Soccer Team.



Coach Randa became Head Coach at Apple Valley High School in 1990. Randa coached the Eagles to their first MSHSL Girls Soccer State Championship in 1995. In the title match, the Eagles downed Wayzata 1-0. The lone score was by Deanna Bauch. The Apple Valley Eagles defense with an outstanding performance from Senior Goalie Heidi Dombrock shutout Wayzata 1-0 in the title game.

The Eagles led by Randa placed 2nd in the state in 1992 and 1993.  Coach Randa has also won five conference titles. Under Randa’s leadership, the Eagles won conference titles in 1992, 1993, 1996, 1999 and 2002. During Coach Randa’s tenure as Head Coach he has an overall record of 311-137-51. His winning percentage is currently .674. Coach Randa also served as Varsity Girls Assistant from 1984-1989.

The Apple Valley Eagles will meet Minneapolis Southwest on the field with game time starting 7:00 pm at Southwest Stadium for game number 500. Coach Randa is currently a member of the Minnesota Soccer Coaches Hall of Fame. He was inducted in 2004.
